Embed recipient email in personalized videos for tracking

Enrique Becerra
I want to track and match personalized videos with an email address, similar to how it's done with dynamic videos. It would be beneficial if there was a way to embed the recipient's email as an identifier in personalized videos to facilitate tracking and analytics.

Hi Enrique Becerra, thanks for the request. To make sure we scope this correctly, can you share a bit more about how you want the recipient email embedded and where you need to use it?
1) Where should the email be embedded?
- In the video itself (visible text overlay)
- In the landing page/player URL as a parameter
- In the embed code (data attribute)
- In analytics only (stored as an internal identifier, not displayed)
2) What’s the primary use case?
- Match views back to a specific recipient in reporting
- Trigger automations (CRM updates, sequences) based on viewing
- De-duplicate contacts across campaigns
3) What tools do you need this to work with?
- Sendspark analytics only
- HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, Zapier, Make, etc.
4) Privacy and security requirements
- Is it acceptable for the email to be visible in a URL or page source, or do you need it hashed/tokenized?
- Any compliance constraints (GDPR/CCPA) we should account for?
5) How are you generating “personalized videos” today?
- Are you using a template with merge fields, a personalized landing page, or a dynamic video workflow?
- Are you sending via email, embedding on a site, or using a sales engagement platform?
If you can answer those, we can propose the cleanest approach (for example, passing an identifier in the link/embed and mapping it to analytics, with an option to hash the email so it’s not exposed).
