Hi Dan, thanks for the request. Sending SendSpark viewer analytics into Close CRM makes a lot of sense for keeping engagement tracking in one place.
To scope this properly, can you share a bit more about what you want to see in Close and how you’d like it to work?
1) Which Close object should receive the data?
- Lead, Contact, Opportunity, Activity, or a Custom Activity
2) What specific viewer analytics do you want pushed?
- Video opened, play started, percent watched, completed, total watch time, number of replays, CTA clicks, timestamp of last view, viewer location or device (if applicable)
3) How should we match a viewer to the right record in Close?
- Email match, domain match, a unique link per lead, or something else
4) When should Close get updated?
- Real time per event, batched (for example every hour), or only on key milestones (first view, 50 percent watched, completed)
5) What should happen in Close when an event occurs?
- Log an activity note, update a custom field, create a task, trigger a Close workflow, or all of the above
6) Any reporting or alerting goals?
- For example, notify the owner when a lead watches more than 50 percent, or create a follow up task after completion
